La Sociedad Española de Emblemática (SEE), fundada en el año 1995, tiene como principal propósito, de acuerdo con sus Estatutos, fomentar el estudio de la Emblemática y sus manifestaciones afines, sus orÃgenes y su influencia en otras formas culturales, en todos los periodos, paÃses y lenguas, aunque prestando una especial atención a la producción emblemática del ámbito iberoamericano (España, Portugal y América latina).
Con el fin de contribuir al desarrollo de dichos estudios, y facilitar y difundir la información cientÃfica de interés entre todos sus miembros, la SEE celebra un congreso bianual, y edita una revista cientÃfica (Imago. Revista de Emblemática y Cultura Visual) y un boletÃn informativo

The Spanish Society of Emblematics (SEE) was founded in 1995 and aims, in accordance with its Statutes, to foster the study of Emblematics and other related fields, their origins and influence on other cultural forms, in all periods, countries and languages, although paying special attention to the Ibero-American reality (Spain, Portugal and Latin America).
In order to contribute to developing such studies, as well as providing and disseminating the scientific information of interest among its members, the SEE organises a biannual conference and publishes both a scientific journal (Imago. Revista de Emblemática y Cultura Visual < https://ojs.uv.es/index.php/IMAGO>) and a newsletter.
